Customized Solutions in Electrical, Thermal, and Solar Engineering & Technology

We blend innovation with expertise to offer a comprehensive range of engineering services.

Each service is a pillar of our commitment to quality, sustainability, and client satisfaction, ensuring that your project benefits from the latest technological advancements and industry-leading expertise.

Whether it’s optimizing existing systems or designing new projects from the ground up, our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service and results that exceed expectations.

Electrical Engineering

We provide complete design and construction supervision for electrical building systems including:

Power Systems

EA Engineering can provide a complete power system design for any project, including sizing of the electrical service, normal power systems, life safety emergency power, emergency back-up and UPS systems.

Starting with our clients needs, we identify different options available to them based on the project constraints. Our recommendations will always consider the clients needs both functionally and financially. We also consider the need for flexibility, future expansion and reliability.

Lighting

With the introduction of LED light fixtures, lighting and lighting design have changed more in the last five years than in the twenty five years before that. We pride ourselves in staying up to date on emerging trends and energy efficient technologies.

Through the design process we will work closely with our client and the design team to provide a lighting design that combines functional requirements for the space with energy utilization goals of sustainable design. This is all done while still maintaining the architectural vision for the space.

Lighting Control

Lighting controls have traditionally been used to create moods. Today, they are also used as part of a high quality energy efficient lighting system that integrates occupancy sensors, vacancy sensors, daylight sensors and scheduling ability to provide a comfortable and energy efficient environment for the occupants of a space. Lighting controls are appropriate for a wide variety of spaces including restrooms, large open officesconference rooms and classrooms. We work closely with the owner and design team to provide information of the systems available and which system will best suit the needs of a specific project.

Communication

Communication system design includes, voice and data distribution, wireless access, CATV, public address systems and multi-media.

We have the experience and training necessary to provide clients with different options to suit the communication needs of their project.

Fire Alarm Systems

A fire alarm system consists of many devices working together to detect and warn people through visual and audible signals when smoke, fire or other emergencies are present.

We have the knowledge of applicable codes and standards to provide a design that meets the needs of the project while providing protection for client and occupants of the space.

Security Systems

Today, security systems consist of intrusion detection, access control and video surveillance. Whether you need an upgrade to an existing system or design of a system for new construction, we have the experience to meet your security challenges. We have worked on a wide range of projects from a few cameras to large fully integrated system.

Thermal Imaging

We are a specialized thermal imaging company that scans, inspects, evaluates and produces customized reports for commercial, institutional, residential, industrial and municipal clients.

“Infrared thermography is the process of acquisition and analysis of thermal information from non-contact thermal imaging devices” – ITC Training Center

What Is Thermal Imaging?

The light we see with our eyes is really a very small portion of what is called the electromagnetic spectrum.   Our eyes relay to us only what is happening in the visible portion of this spectrum.  Thermal imaging cameras detect radiation in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum and produce images of that radiation, called thermograms.  This radiation is dependent on the temperature of the object and some characteristics of its surface.  As an object increases its temperature the infrared emissive power increases as well.

The military originally used the advanced technology of thermal imaging.  Now residential and commercial property inspections can benefit from the technology of infrared thermal cameras.

Infrared Electrical Inspections

In electrical systems, excessive heat is a sign of impending trouble. Infrared electrical inspections are an effective and efficient technique for surveying electrical equipment for poor connections, deteriorated components, or overloaded circuits.  The most effective method of maintaining any electrical system is to detect potential problems before they become serious and take corrective action to prevent any issues.

Routine infrared inspections of electrical equipment are a valuable and cost effective preventative maintenance tool whereby early corrective action may be taken to prevent costly shutdowns.

Because thermography is non-contact and non-destructive there is no need for interruption of electrical service or costly shutdown.

An infrared electrical scan should be scheduled every twelve months in order to locate any potential problems and prevent unnecessary failures.  This annual inspection can increase safety and be used by insurance companies to access the potential risk.  If you are asked to conduct an infrared electrical inspection or just want to perform the inspection as part of a responsible preventative maintenance program please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Photovoltaic Design

Our photovoltaic design services are tailored to optimize efficiency and sustainability for your project.

Tailored Photovoltaic Solutions

At EA Engineering we make it easy for you to switch to a cleaner photovoltaic energy source. We will take a comprehensive look at your electricity consumption and identify options for photovoltaic systems that are site specific. Each option will include photovoltaic system size, estimate of electricity that can be produced, estimate of energy cost savings and capital cost of the system.

If you decide to proceed with the installation, we can provide detailed design services as well as assist with the installation.
